Dropped by Balenciaga at the end of 2019, the Hourglass bag gets its name from the curved base which mimics the shape of an hourglass. It is a top-handle flap bag which comes in a range of sizes (XS, Small and Medium) and has an adjustable and removable crossbody leather strap. Made from calfskin leather, the Hourglass bag features an accordion-style compartment which provides the bag with extra storage space, making up for any lost storage room which comes as a result of the bag’s curved shape. The bag also features a slip pocket on the outside of the bag at the back and a magnetic snap closure.
Despite the bag’s popularity, there is still a chance to look unique when carrying the Balenciaga Hourglass bag. This is due to the fact that it is available in an array of both colours and finishes (python, croc-embossed, shiny leather and grained leather).
