When the Louis Vuitton Coussin bag was launched as part of the French fashion house’s Spring / Summer 2021 collection, there was no doubt that it was the it-bag of the season. The bag quickly landed on the arms of fashionistas, influencers and trend-setting celebrities soon after its first appearance on the runway. One year on, the LV Coussin bag is still one of the most sought after bags by Louis Vuitton.

French for the word cushion, the LV Coussin can add a sense of effortless fashion to the simplest of looks. It is made from soft and supple puffy lambskin leather that is embossed with the LV monogram pattern. Featuring a three-pouch interior with ample room to store belongings, the versatile bag comes with an adjustable and removable canvas strap as well as a removable chain strap.

One thing that is fascinating about the Coussin bag is the craftsmanship behind it. One single Coussin bag takes 7 workers to put it together. It is made up of 18 pieces of leather, stitched together with 1,000 stitches that result in invisible seams. Each bag is also marked with a Louis Vuitton stamp on the inside that is made out of gold film that is hot stamped onto the bag.

Louis Vuitton Coussin Sizes and Dimensions

The LV Coussin was initially released in two sizes – Coussin PM and Coussin MM. Since then, Louis Vuitton have also released a smaller version of the bag, the BB.

The LV Coussin BB has two notable differences to the bigger models – it is made up of two inside compartments (as opposed to three) and comes with a leather removable strap (instead of canvas). The dimensions of the three models can be found in the table below:
