Design
The shape of the Pochette Metis is a classic one, and it is also very versatile. It looks great with both casual and smarter outfits and can be carried in three ways – via the leather top handle, on the shoulder or cross-body. Featuring an ‘S-lock’ closure, the flap of the bag can be opened by squeezing the two buttons on the gold hardware lock. The interior is very roomy and is divided into three sections and there is also a zipped pocket on the exterior.
Size
The LV Pochette Metis is a small-to-medium bag which only comes in one size (25 cm x 19 cm x 7 cm). The strap, which is both removable and adjustable, can be set between a length of 48 cm and 55 cm.
Colours and Materials
The Pochette Metis was initially launched in monogram coated canvas, and this is still the most popular version of the bag to date. In 2015, Louis Vuitton also released the bag in reverse monogram canvas.
It is worth noting that the most common issue with this bag is in fact related to the glazed canvas, which is known to sometimes peel off. That being said, Louis Vuitton offer to re-coat the canvas for free whenever this issue occurs.
The Pochette Metis is also available in monogram imprinted leather. This has made the bag available in a range of colours including black, turtledove beige, navy and red, pink rose poudre and scarlet red.
Louis Vuitton frequently releases seasonal and limited edition versions of the Pochette Metis. In the past, this has included badge adorned versions, large LV monogram prints as well as braided top handles.
