Earlier this week, Saint Laurent dropped a brand new handbag to their vast, but sometimes not too varied collection – the Elise bag.
If you’re a fan of Saint Laurent bags, the first thing you will probably notice is the lack of the big YSL logo on the centre of the bag. This will be a refreshing change for the YSL bag fans who want to add more variety to their handbag collections. In fact, it seems like Saint Laurent have been working on adding more variety to their collection this season with the recent launch of their Grace Hobo bag.
Saint Laurent Elise Bag Design
Let’s take a closer look at what Saint Laurent creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, has done with the design of this bag. The YSL Elise is a shoulder bag which features a very subtle front flap and a curved top shape. It also comes with a metal hardware chain strap with a YSL monogram detail, which can be removed. This allows the bag to be carried as a clutch and also gives it an even more subtle look.
Despite the subtle design of the Saint Laurent Elise bag, the metal hardware and the croc embossed lambskin really make the bag quite the fashion statement. Also, if you’re looking for an even more elusive look, the Elise is also available plain lambskin leather.
Saint Laurent Elise Bag Interior
When it comes to the interior of the bag, the YSL Elise definitely has a luxurious feel to it with its soft, suede lining. The main compartment is split into two, with a flat pocket at the very back of the bag.
Saint Laurent Elise Bag Dimensions
Currently available in one size, the Elise bag measures at 16 cm x 21 cm with a depth of 9 cm. The metal chain has a drop of 27 cm.
The croc embossed version of the Elise bag has been launched with a retail price of €1,990 / $2,490. On the other hand, the plain version is available for €1,890 / $2,390.
