Prada has introduced a new bag as part of its Fall/Winter 2026 collection, and it is already being carried by some recognisable faces. Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer headlines the official campaign imagery for the Prada Carry, while newly appointed brand ambassador Namtan Tipnaree wears it in the photographs accompanying her announcement.

What Is the Prada Carry Bag?

The Prada Carry is a compact top-handle bag that combines a relatively simple silhouette with more practical, utilitarian details. Its exterior pockets give the bag its character, while a concealed magnetic closure and adjustable side drawstrings allow its shape to shift slightly.

It can be carried by its leather handles or worn using the detachable, adjustable shoulder strap. Rather than Prada’s usual enamel triangle, the Carry is finished with a more understated lettering logo embossed on the front.

The bag is currently available in both soft calfskin leather and suede, with the latter giving the structured shape a slightly more relaxed feel.

Prada Carry Bag Size

Despite Prada describing it as a mini handbag, the Carry should hold more than the average micro bag. It measures:

  • Height: 21 cm
  • Width: 19 cm
  • Depth: 7 cm

According to Prada, it can comfortably fit a card holder, an iPhone 17 Pro Max, a small wallet and a few additional essentials. However, its relatively narrow depth means it is still best viewed as a compact everyday bag rather than something you can fill freely.

Inside, the Carry has Prada’s logo-print nylon lining and a patch pocket for keeping smaller items separate.

Whether it will be launched in additional sizes is yet to be seen.

How Much Does the Prada Carry Bag Cost?

At launch, the Prada Carry is priced at: €1,900 / £1,710 / $2,600, with leather and suede versions listed at the same price.

This makes the Carry less expensive than several of Prada’s other recent leather designs, including the Prada Bonnie and Prada Buckle, although it is also considerably smaller.

Prada Carry Bag Colours

Prada has launched the Carry in a surprisingly broad selection of colours. The leather range currently includes classic shades such as black, cognac, sand beige and white, alongside clay, briarwood and burgundy.

The suede version comes in several autumnal and pastel shades, including dark brown, forest, agave and water lily. Colour availability may differ depending on the country and retailer.

The dark brown suede version is likely to be one of the most popular for autumn, but the more unexpected pale green and pink shades give the bag a very different feel.

Could the Prada Carry Become the Next It Bag?

The Carry arrives as Prada continues to explore more practical, pocket-heavy handbag designs. It shares some of the practical appeal of the larger Prada Route, but its compact size and long shoulder strap make it more suitable for carrying only the essentials.

It also feels more relaxed than the structured Prada Galleria and considerably quieter than the house’s triangle-logo bags. The embossed lettering is still recognisably Prada, but it does not dominate the design.

This is a good pick for someone looking for a small, subtle designer bag and not willing to cross the $3,000 mark.

It is far too early to declare the Carry Prada’s next It bag, but the brand is certainly giving it plenty of visibility, so it may be a style we see much more of over the coming months.

The Prada Carry bag is available now from Prada and selected luxury retailers.
