When it comes to material, the Sac de Jour is made from 100% calfskin leather but is available in three finishes – smooth, grained and crocodile-embossed.

The pricing of the Saint Laurent Sac de Jour often varies and depends on both the size and the material of the bag. The price of the collection ranges between US$2,250 and US$3,350. The grained leather versions are the least costly. On the other hand, the crocodile embossed Sac de Jour is the most expensive.
Given the fact that the Sac de Jour has been a permanent part of the YSL bag collection for a number of years and seems to be sticking around, it can definitely be considered an investment piece. When released in 2013, a Small Sac De Jour in grained leather cost around $US2,040. In 2023, this costs US$3,150.
